The Descent

OPEN COLD on /john/descent — let it breathe ~60 seconds, click through 2–3 depths, land on the core, then hit "Explore the Frontier Map."

The demo — 4 cards on the walkthrough page
Card 01 · 60 seconds

The Frontier

Click Card 01 on the walkthrough. A new tab opens to the Frontier Map.

One architecture, four lanes, three surfaces, one self-improving knowledge graph — across fifty-nine domains. Three already shipping. Eight in build. The pattern is the moat.
The four-layer count near the top — 3 Deployed, 8 Building, 9 Scoped, 39 Frontier. Scroll once. Don't read all the cards. The doctor just needs to feel the scale.
Card 02 · 90 seconds

The Operating System

Back to the walkthrough page. Click Card 02. Opens the KG OS page.

The platform improves itself in public. Every garden ingests its source data on a domain cadence. Every claim has a freshness stamp. We get more right every week — that's the moat in the AI era.
The Moat statement at the top + the RSI Heartbeat pulse. Scroll to the architecture diagram (4 lanes × 3 surfaces × 1 graph). Skip "Pattern Language" and "Stance Card" unless asked.

The Builder's Killer App

Back to walkthrough. Click Card 03. Opens builders.theknowledgegardens.com/intro.

Construction funds the meaning gardens. $17 trillion industry, broken software, every contractor we talk to is starving for this. Seven stages — Size Up through Reflect — and we're picking partners right now.
The hammer-with-roots plate (industrial × organic — that's the philosophy in one image). Scroll past the seven stages. Don't dwell — the live build is one card away.
Card 04 · 4 to 6 minutes

Marin Farmhouse — live

Back to walkthrough. Click Card 04. Lands on the Killer App at the Size Up stage.

Four thousand square feet for the Harwell family. $1.65M total · $312K spent · $1.15M remaining. 37-week timeline. Build at 42% — framing inspection just passed. Plan and Build are the functional heroes — real Claude calls for code lookup, real voice-to-database for the field report.
The top ribbon — same number visible everywhere you go. The sticky primary action button at the bottom of every stage walks the journey end to end. The Pro toggle (top-right) flips foreman vernacular to code citations. Adapt/Collect/Reflect carry honest "alpha — coming soon" pills.

Walk all seven stages quickly — use the sticky button at the bottom of each stage, OR click the rings in the top ribbon. Don't read everything. The shape is the point.

  1. Size Up"Where every build starts. What is it, where, how big, ballpark?"
  2. Lock"Scope locked. Budget baseline. Client e-signs."
  3. Plan"Phases. Codes pulled inline. 37-week timeline. Insight: running framing + rough trades concurrently saves 3 weeks and $28,500."
  4. Build"Where the work happens. Where most software loses contractors. We keep them in by making this the easiest screen, not the most cluttered."
  5. Adapt"Change orders. Pay apps. Where money usually leaks. We make this the place changes become billable."
  6. Collect"Draws. Lien releases. Closeout."
  7. Reflect"Lessons captured. Fed back. Each project ships the platform smarter for the next one."
Breadth — use between stages if there's time

"Who we serve"

Geography. California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Florida out of the gate. Jurisdiction-aware — local building department rules live inside the platform, not in PDFs.

Trades. GCs, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, low-voltage (AV, alarm), solar, finishing trades. Each gets its own line items and contract templates.

Scale. Same operating system, complexity exposed to taste:

Same operating system, different complexity exposed. A homeowner remodeling a kitchen and a developer running a 1,000-unit project see the same platform — the UI scales, the data model is the same. That's what makes this a platform and not just a contractor tool.

The first fifty.

Partners, not customers.

We're not launching to the general market yet. We're picking ~50 contractors as design partners — brand ambassadors. Lower pricing in perpetuity, in exchange for shaping what ships next, anonymized build data, and being named launch partners when we open broadly.

The target: contractors running $5M–$20M / yr of custom residential. Saves them 6–10 hours a week and meaningfully cuts change-order leakage.

"If you know one — please introduce us."

Doctor asks something technical
"Good question — let me get Chilly to answer that. I want you to have the real answer."
